Christmas time! Mistletoe and wine! Festive fun at Franklyn Care

This year at Franklyn Care we tried to make the festive season more special than ever, with the lights up, decorations set both inside and out, and lets not forget the magnificent sweet treats and Christmas dinners that were made for both staff and residents.

Take a look at the exciting and very talented arts and crafts that some of the lovely residents have been spending their time doing in preparation for Christmas. You can tell that some of the ladies were trying to show off their festive nails rather than the snowflakes they’ve made! This little craft day also consisted of a lot of drawing and festive colouring in.

Now we feel as though Christmas isn’t quite Christmas without a few baked good and treats. So this year our excellent staff baked some magic in the kitchen and treated everyone to lovely homemade doughnuts with lots of chocolate and sprinkled toppings. Not only that, our team went above and beyond creating these little rice crispy snowmen!

Hello Santa! Everyone was very pleased to see Father Christmas on the big day, it was nice of him to take time out of his busiest day of the year to cheer up everyone in the home by handing out presents and spreading the Christmas joy!

Ahh, Christmas Dinner! The big meal was absolutely delicious and Santa was helping out by serving the bucks fizz! With the Christmas classics playing in the background, crackers were popped and opened, and a lot of the residents were telling jokes and wearing the traditional Christmas crowns whilst enjoying their lovely meal.

Everyone in each home have really enjoyed Christmas this year and we hope your Christmas has been just as special!
